that was kinda missing the point of criticism of that kind of thing imo. these things still treat gender as a binary switch to flip along one dimension. u just added a little "hey look i know trans people exist" asterisk

in reality i think gender is so multifaceted that the whole concept of a single unitary genderswap only even really makes sense if you're used to a normative gender binary

The preponderance of terms like "girldad" and "boymom" among cis people offers a clue into parental transphobia: they literally see their children's gender a part of their identity. "Well actually you're the one forcing me to take on an identity I don't want" is a DARVO, but it's a darvo supported by normative ideas of how parenthood should function.
